Match Review (Kickoff time - 3:00pm)

It was a cagey opening of the game in the 1st half where neither side able to breakdown the defence. It was more like testing each other strength rather than dive-bomb into it. There was a lot of long ball played by both teams as neither side are able to get a grip. Knights could have taken the lead but Jumari's goal was disallowed for offside.
Just before the half hour mark, Team Mauritius manage to break the deadlock after an own goal by Haikal to put them ahead. It was a cross which met Haikal's head and it took an awkward turn towards the back of the net. later in the half, Knights won a corner and Haikal could have level the match but this time round his head didnt meet the ball. Instead, it was his shoulders that got the ball over the bar.
Knights started the 2nd half strongly with Mikail surprised the goalie with a thunderous shot but parried away. Knights buckle up and dominate the first 20 mins. Jumari and Mikail rally the Knights dominating the centre of the park with string of passes to split their defence but the final touches from their team mates were poor.
Just after the hour mark, Team Mauritius scored their 2nd goal through a header after winning a freekick courtesy of Azmi. Their 3rd goal came not long after that from the spot after a late decision from the referee to penalize Faris for shirt pulling. Just when Team Mauritius thought of keeping a clean sheet, Sam had other ideas.
A superb left foot volley outside the box left the goalie no chance. What a way to open his account for Knights. Knights again start pushing in search of their 2nd goal but poor finishing let them down. Team Mauritius gave Knights a final blow late in the game scoring their 4th goal. Match ended with Knights 2nd loss.

Final score : Knights 1 Team Mauritius 4
Knights scorer: Sam
Knights Man Of The Match : Jumani

This game was much closer than the scoreline suggested. Opponents didn't really troubled our keeper that much. We will keep trying to win our first game this year. Luck has definitely abandoned us so far. Better luck next time guys!
