Match Review -- Kickoff 3pm
This match was definitely one to be remembered as Knights turn up with a possible best squad this year to face ChelseaSG. The highlight was having our very own 'capitan' return after more than a year out due to injury. Another Knights player looking to make his mark was Ismail whom started alongside the reliable Amir in central defence. Apart from the obvious glut of goals and misses, the match will reflect positively on the creative display from the team. After only one win for the past 7 months, Knights was determined to make this their 2nd and indeed, displays from defence all the way to attack proved the hunger.
Aleem breaks the deadlock with a fine individual display and throughout the match proves what a nightmare he could be. With his superb runs and display of talents, even the opponent was awed by it. With a goal to his name, the other side of his sublime creativity came to fore as Knights double the lead through Jesse.
Changes were made in the 2nd half and there was more purpose about ChelseaSg play searching for their goal but with Captain Hazlan staring in the 2nd half, it was ensured that the back four couldn't be penetrated that easily. Injury didnt stopped Alaudin from scoring the 3rd goal for Knights. ChelseaSg kept pushing and their efforts finally got them a goal. "Chin Up".
Knights was awaken again after that goal and Knights main striker got his 2nd in the game. Chances kept coming and Ahmat goal drought stayed after fumbling his chances. With minutes before end of match, Jesse enthralled the crowd again by completing his hat trick. Jesse was busy throughout the whole match and it paid off when he scored his 5th goal for Knights this year.
It was a lively ending to an entertaining 90 minutes as Knights held firm for the victory.The celebration was not only for the win but also for the return of our Captain.
