First game of 2010 for the Knights saw them taking on opponents in green, who said their prayers as a team before the game kicked off. Maybe they knew they were going to be in for a tough time. The match was slightly delayed as the referee had to change his kit, due to him having only black and green tops, which were the colours of the Knights and opponents, respectively.

Knight started off the game brightly with a 4-4-1-1 formation, with Aleem and Ahmat directing operations, and Jesse as the main striker. However, the theme from last year seemed to plague the Knights, as chance after chance went a begging, Jesse missing with a free header in the box, Ahmat ballooning his shot from 6 yards out, and crosses going astray. However, mid-way through the first half, Aleem ran onto a long punt from Banks, and headed the ball over the keeper. 1-0.

A second goal duly arrived, through a corner taken by Aleem, as opponents failed to clear the ball, and Jesse had the simplest of task blasting the ball in from the penalty box. 2-0. First half ended, with defence hardly breached, and the attackers begin to get some understanding between them.

The second half started much in the same vein as the first. Through yet another corner from Aleem, Amir was left unmarked as he rose unchallenged and powered a header in. Best goal of the game. Ju also getting in on the act shortly after, as picking up a loose ball outside the box, he evaded a couple of challenges, before unleashing a shot that the keeper couldn't keep out. 4-0 to the Knights.

Rammy put the finishing touches to a great Knight performance by getting ahead of the keeper from an Asri cross, and side-footing the ball home. 5-0 to the Knights, great way to start off the new year. Amir just shaded Ahmat for the man-of-the match performance by virtue of him scoring with that brilliant header. All in all, the Knights looked good value for their victory, and everyone deserved a pat on the back.
