Knights outplayed for a full 1st half by DSTA struggled to assert their dominance and had to settle for a draw.
But the 1-1 draw - achieved courtesy of Zack early in the 2nd half did add a spark to Knights engine. Despite creating a host of half chances in the 1st half, DSTA failed to extend their early lead. It was a long range effort that left the stand-in keeper in awe that made it 1-nil. The movement in Knights midfield to attack was mostly in static display which creates a lot of room for DSTA midfielders. It was mostly scrappy with knights struggling to find a good rythm of flowing football especially in the final 3rd.
Knights, who had seen very little of the ball up to that point made their first venture into the opposition box late in the first half but unable to create goal opportunities.
The 2nd half was a totally different ball game. It wasn't the usual free flow attacking tactics but it was more of a containment ensuring that DSTA supplies of passes unable to penetrate Knights defence. Knights had a good counter attack which lead to the equaliser and manage a good string of possesion.
Having struggle to get going before the break, one hoped the equaliser would spur Knights into adding the goals. Unfortunately, Knights couldn't find a winner and had to settle for a draw, but it still felt like a missed opportunity.
