After a disappointing defeat in the last game, Knights need to pick themselves up quickly and it doesn't come any quicker for the following match vs SMRT. The battleground is at Si Ling Sec and we were hoping for better luck with the weather this time round.
With starting formation of 4-4-2, we started the game cautiously but assured. We tried to gain advantage in the midfield and try to cut off any wing play from the opposition. This we did with aplomb due to good combination of our defence, midfielders and even our strikers, who were doing their defensive duties upfront. The 1st goal duly arrive albeit a bit of luck involved when the opposition defender tried to clear the ball and it hit Aleem and went into the goal. We retained possession and searching for more goals n managed to score 1 more through our main striker, Rammy. The 1st half ended 2-0 in our favour.
The 2nd half started with few changes to the backline but we still managed to control and cut off the oppositions play. More goals arrived, 4 to be exact and all were scored by Rammy. He is in rich vein of form and he is scoring for fun. 1 of the goals were from the penalty spot. Amir, who was dribbling towards goal was brought down in the box. Referee has no hesitation in pointing to the spot. The game ended 6-0, could be more if we take our chances well.
Overall, it was a good match for the Knights after the 1st defeat. There were alot of teamwork, crisp passing and running to spaces. Well done Knights! To the next battle we proceed.
