Knights Scorers: Ju, Ahmat, Ariff & Jesse
It was an anticipated slow start since it Knights 1st friendly since fasting month followed by Hari Raya.
Knights ran out 4-1 winners against a team full of veterans. It was a good contest of a match and true enough it took around the 30th minute for a net to bulge, as Knights skipper started the scoring. ST missed presentable chances throughout the match which prove to be vital at the end of the match. Knights was struggling to look for their first clean sheet this year and manage to do that in the first half.
The goal of the game arrived early in the second half as Ahmat audacious shot hit on the top corner put Knights 2 goals ahead. Knights substitute, Ariff put one past between the goalie's leg securing his first goal this year. ST starts to change to higher gear pushing forward searching for a goal. In a desperate attempt to keep a clean sheet for the first time this year, Knights defended deep blocking several shots on target. Alas, ST had pulled a goal back somewhat fortuitously. ST bravery to keep pushing forward ended in dismay as Jesse added Knights 4th goal. Knights goalie Kai didn't manage to keep a clean sheet but his performance in between the post proved that he may be able to be a regular start in the team.
