Knights made an explosive start to the year with an enthralling draw with Perrorbola FC. A match with full of drama to kickoff the new year.
Possession was key throughout the game and Knights clearly dominate that area right from the start. From kickoff in the first minute, Alaudin burst through their defence whizzing past 4 defenders only to be beaten by the goalie. Knights create chances from all over the field but the end product was either stopped by their fine goalkeeping or off target. Late in the half, it took a through pass from Indra for Jesse to finish it off with a superb shot.
The 2nd half was quite a challenge as Knights endured a 12th opponent who had the authority to change the game. A shot came in but stunningly saved by Donald diverting the ball towards the post. It was clearly far from the goal line when it was finally cleared but the Referee decides otherwise. 1-1. Game on.
It wasn't long until Donald mistimed a lob ball letting it to drop and bounced awkwardly past him only to be snatched by the oncoming striker. Knights kept creating chances after chances with some promising openings were squandered with abandon. Knights continued to force the issue and were rewarded with a quickfire 2nd goal through Ahmat's header.
Knights was hunting the 3rd goal but slightly disrupted after midfield anchor, Ray got injured after clashing into Haikal and opponent. Ray's performance was the key throughout the match stopping Perrorbola's FC midfield general.
Late in the game, inexperienced proved costly as Kai's handling of the opponent in the penalty box earned them a penalty. They lead 3-2. Just before the final whistle, poor refereeing against Perrorbola FC in Knights half pushed Knights on a counter attack. Incredibly, Knights mustered a leveler a couple of minutes before time. Haleem struck the 3rd goal ending the game 3-3.
