KNIGHTS 2
CMIV 0

Knights Scorer: Amir (2)

CMIV looked flat after struggling to make any superiority count against hard-working and well-drilled Knights
enduring a difficult match on a sloppy field, needing two Amir's goals to defeat an unfancied CMIV team in the last 20 minutes.

There was a lot of reshuffle in the team for this match. Knights main attackers were not present which leaves the team full of defensive players ending up with Amir spearheading the team. Donald whom starts for the first time this year coming back from injury, made numerous saves in the first period. There was a good number of chances for both sides but neither team took the lead in the first half. Knights bid to raise the tempo was met with some rough-house tactics which the referee only awards a freekick keeping his cards safe at home.
There was a huge improvement in the second half where CMIV conceded the lion's share of possession to Knights. The introduction of Indra and a slight change of formation from a 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 led to Knights dominance in midfield. With Danny and Ray keeping them off from Knights half, Ahmat pulling the strings for attack, Knight's finally drew first blood after 20 minutes in the second period. It was Indra's corner meeting up a powerful Amir's header that did the trick. 10 minutes later, Indra was the source of CMIV troubles again when he lofted a superb long ball from defence to Amir. Amir took an early shot that took a slight deflection leaving the goalie no chance.
